Beautifying Our Home

The finished half of the front yard. :)

Our family working hard to remove old mulch.

Isaac and Jenna taking a break to make "mud balls" from the clay we were digging up.
Since we moved in two years ago, Matt and I have been struggling to bring our yard back to life and make the outside a little more attractive!  While not yet perfect, the yard is coming along, and yesterday we had the opportunity to work as a family to plant some beautiful perennial flowers in the front.  We also bought some rock this year (instead of mulch) to cover our flower beds.  It was so nice to get out in the sunshine and work as a family.  It was also fun to go to the nursery to pick the plants and learn more about plants and gardening from the workers there.  We ran out of rock, but once we get some more and get it put down, I will post a picture of the entire front of the house.
