Congratulations Jenna!

We received some really exciting news about Jenna this week! Her teacher called Matt and said she scored a perfect 45 out of 45 on her mid-year math benchmark exam! This means she has more than mastered 1st grade math and it's only mid-year! We are so proud of Jenna and her accomplishments in school. When she came a year and a half ago, she was behind on all her benchmarks according to Indiana standards (she was living in another state with her biological mom, and that state's benchmark requirements were lower than Indiana). She struggled to get caught up in all subjects, but now she is excelling. We are still working on reading (that doesn't come quite as naturally for her :), but she has a very promising future in math. It is hard for any child to transition between two homes, so I am so glad to see Jenna flourishing and doing such a great job! We love you Jenna!
